TURN CRAFT
TURN CRAFT is a reinterpretation of Nao Tamura's TURN project, launched in 2019, that reveals original material and color effects. The glossy black version, TURN CRAFT Stainless Black / Nero, is obtained through a steel dyeing process that Ambientec uses for the first time, giving the color fullness. A portion of the stem is wrapped in hand-stitched, fine black Tuscan Liscio leather, adding a touch of character. The brass version, TURN CRAFT Brass / Cotto, has a nostalgic allure that reinterprets the lamp's contemporary lines. The special process treated with very gentle oil finishing, gives the finish varying shades over time, making the lamp a distinctive object with exquisite and unsual aesthetics. The Tuscan Liscio leather coating on a portion of the stem is hand-sewed and complements the natural tones of the lamp perfectly.

概要
TURN CRAFT（ターン クラフト）
2019年にローンチした田村奈穂氏デザインによる「TURN（ターン）」。そのスペシャルエディションとして誕生したのが「TURN CRAFT（ターンクラフト）」です。

経年変化を楽しむプロダクト
時間の経過や使い方によって生じる経年変化は、
モノを大切にし長く使いたいという愛着につながり、楽しみの一つでもあります。
TURN CRAFTは、その名の通りクラフトマンシップによって、金属部品と天然素材を精密に組み合わせ、
真鍮やステンレスの特性を生かすための仕上げを全て人の手作業で行い作られています。

革のグリップ
“トスカーノ・リーショ”と呼ばれるバケッタ（ヴァケッタ）製法のレザーを使用。「リーショ」とは「滑らかな」という意味、
バケッタ製法とは、イタリア・トスカーナ地方の伝統的な植物タンニンで鞣し、動物性油脂を内部まで浸透させる高品質レザーの製法で、
使い込むほどに艶が増し経年変化が楽しめます。
このレザーをTURN支柱の持ち手に一周、国内の工房の職人が手縫いで施しています。
その正確で丁寧なステッチがこの素材の品格をより高めています。
TURN CRAFT Stainless Black には、Nero （黒） 色の革を使用、
TURN CRAFT Brass には、Cotto （焦げ茶）色の革を使用しています。
黒く染めたステンレス
ステンレスは、TURNの中でも最も強固で、腐食しにくい非常に優れた素材です。
ときに空間のなかで強すぎるようにも感じる外観のシルバー色を黒に染めることで、
より落ち着きがあり重厚感も感じさせる仕上がりとなりました。
優れたステンレス素材の「TURN（ターン）」をもっと多くの方に使ってもらいたいという思いは、
「ステンレスを黒く染めることができる特殊技術」を持った燕三条にある職人気質の、若い企業との出逢いにより実現しました。

Parsons School of Designにてコミュニケーションデザインを学んだ後、工業デザインを専門にするSmart Design(米)を経て独立。現在はニューヨークを拠点に、プロダクトからインスタレーション、建築まで幅広く活動中。自然とテクノロジー、完成と機能性、繊細さと力強さ、２つの点がバランスよく委ね合うデザインを探求し、作品はパリ・Palais De Tokyo(近代美術館)からミラノサローネ国際家具見本市など発表の場は多岐に渡る。国際的なアワードを多数受賞。
