Philosophy

Lighting originally didn't have cords (torches. candles. oil lamps. etc.).

With power supplied from outlets, it became possible to use bulbs and fluorescent lights with high brightness.

LED technology has made lighting more energy-efficient, brighter, and even more convenient. LEDs even allow to control over brightness, color, and motion. However, if these technologies are used improperly, they can create a noisy and distracting atmosphere.

The way light was used in the past, while less convenient, created a highly refined ambiance-an atmosphere we still encounter today in places like temples. churches or at special dinners.

Ambientec seeks to revive this original way of using light with the latest technology.

Ambientec is not a manufacturer that produces convenient, inexpensive items. Ambientec continuously thinks about how to create products that people will cherish and continue to use for a long time, and we bring that vision to life.

To achieve this, we place importance on unique & beautiful designs and the feel and weight of our products. With mass production through molds and resin molding, comes lightness and affordability. which leads to products designed for consumption.

In contrast. Ambientec's products are designed to be repairable and have interchangeable parts, crafted with materials that can be processed and shaped by hand.

This allows us to produce 2,000 to 3,000 pieces annually and continue selling them for over 10 years, with a commitment to lifetime repair support.

The combination of these approaches embodies the unique essence that Ambientec strives for.

Our goal is to bring this essence to the people who wish to use it and to support their continued use, creating a sustainable cycle that we aim to expand worldwide.

About

Ambientec is a Japanese lighting design brand founded in 2009, specialized in the production of portable, rechargeable and waterproof lamps.

Research into new integrated LED technology and the valuable materials used, combined with elegant and poetic aesthetics, make the products contemporary icons: indestructible and guaranteed to last a long time, inimitable for the masterful precision with which they are made, the result of high craftsmanship.

An uncompromising attention that continues even in the after-sales sustainable service, which allows maintenance and any necessary repairs to ensure many years of service life, especially for rechargeable battery products.

Ambientec's wireless lamps, the only authentic ones, are an important chapter in international design culture because of their attention to the quality of light, which can be adjusted as needed, and to the multisensory approach that always puts people's sensibilities at the center.

This is why they are suitable for all environments: the more intimate and personal ones in the home, including the bathroom; the more dynamic ones in the office; and the public and multifunctional spaces of hospitality, contract, and outdoor.

Even with the lights off, when the lamp is transformed into a design object of pure beauty.

Ambientec was born in Japan but also has solid roots in Italian, European and North American design and architecture. Evidence of this are original and iconic lamps signed by designers such as Shiro Kuramata, Nao Tamura, Hiroto Yoshizoe, Elisa Ossino, Kensaku Oshiro, Yoshiki Matsuyama and Ryuichi Kozeki. And collaborations with brands, retailers, and institutions such as Fueguia 1833, Rossana Orlandi, ADI Design Museum, and Triennale di Milano.
