New brand logo announced: Ambientec's origins and new logo
Ambientec has gradually become known as a brand of cordless lighting. When the company was founded in 2009, it developed portable solar chargers and other products with the aim of becoming an environmentally conscious, design-oriented home appliance brand.
However, the experience of witnessing the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 prompted us to think deeply about our purpose in life and our approach to manufacturing, which led us to change direction from our original concept.
The roots of manufacturing go back 10 years to the founding of Ambientec. A.O.I. Japan, the parent company of Ambientec, developed and manufactured underwater photography equipment for divers and underwater photographers in the camera industry. They then launched RGBlue, an underwater light brand that focuses on the quality of light, and released System 01, an underwater light that vividly illuminates the underwater world, something that was not available at the time.
This waterproof technology and battery-powered LED system have opened up new possibilities for lighting that does not require wiring, whereas lighting fixtures previously required wiring to an electrical outlet. Furthermore, we realized that the precision design and intricate manufacturing techniques we had developed in the camera industry enhance the "intrinsic value of the object," making people want to continue using it for a long time, rather than just using it in a short time.
The new brand logo shown here represents our awareness of our existence as a company that creates new value, and our determination and resolve regarding our stance toward the world.
