[New Collection 'Barcarolle']
We are pleased to announce the release of Barcarolle, a new portable lamp designed by Yoshiki Matsuyama, first unveiled at Euroluce 2025. The collection will be available from Friday, October 24, 2025, through the official Ambientec online store, Ambientec Galleries, and selected retailers in Japan.
As quiet music plays, there’s a glass of wine or perhaps a cup of hot coffee on the table.
A small light gently illuminates the evening, as you share endless conversations with close friends, family, or a loved one.
Or perhaps, it’s the peaceful time spent alone, immersed in a book or music, awaiting the arrival of sleep.
These are the small, timeless, and beautiful scenes of everyday life—
moments that remain unchanged through the years. The name Barcarolle means boat song—a short piano piece whose origins trace back to the songs of Venetian gondoliers.Inspired by the shimmering reflections of city lights on the waters of Venice at dusk, Barcarolle introduces an originally programmed light mode that evokes this poetic scene. When multiple Barcarolle lamps are placed together, they create an atmosphere reminiscent of glimmering city lights reflected on the evening surface of the sea or canals.

Barcarolle 60 / Copper
This model draws inspiration from the decorative details of architectural elements found in historic churches and buildings, their stairs, columns, and windows. The hemispherical, primitive glass shade softly reflects both the inner light source and ambient light from the surroundings, revealing a serene and warm silhouette of light. The lamp can also be used without the glass shade.

Barcarolle 183S, 227M, 265L / Copper
This model is inspired by traditional European street lamps and architectural columns. With its gracefully vertical light and three available heights, it can create atmospheres ranging from poetic to elegant and lively. Models 183S and 265L will be available exclusively at Ambientec Galleries.
